Belts would last 80 to 100K, so mileage should not be an issue for you. Normally what fails is the water pump. OEM water pumps are also robust. So conservatively you can rely on 60K worry free with new Belt and water pump.
I can't seem to find a post regarding timing belt change, be it mileage or age so am asking you for help.
I have a 2003 w2ith 84K miles on it. At 55K miles the timing belt was changed by a dealer in California (at least that's what the Lexus Owners page shows). That was done in May 2008. Since then less than 30K miles have been put on the car (less than 4K in the past year alone). But it's been 6 years since the belt was changed. When do you or the other moderators think I should be looking to change the belt again?
Hey Mandy, Keith Travis/Moondog here... I am getting ready to purchase a 2006 400h. Any wisdom on upgrading the radio? I would like to add at a minimum the ability to use Pandora or sat radio... Any ideas? Thanks Keith
Hey, saw you on CRV forums!
I still have an 06 LX AWD. Time to fix my CAT converter heat shield. 47k miles on the clock and 6 MIdwestern winter later - it's starting to rattle. WIll try the Home Depot clamps trick.
Hello...Mandy I saw that you posted a tutorial about sealing your headlight. Well I followed it and I tried to blow air and find a leak..There were no bubbles, so I decided to just seal it all around. However the problem is that the moisture comes back everytime I turn on the light. I get a hair dryer and dry the moisture out everytime but it seems as if the moisture is just stuck in the light and comes back everytime I turn on my lights, even for 15 minutes. Thank you for reading and hope to hear from you soon.
You did a great job describing your brake pad replacement. I did mine about a year ago and now I'm having a soft and low brake pedal on my RX330. I saw that you posted the diagrams of the front and rear brake components. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you please email the pages to me so I can make sure all of the brake hardware is installed properly. My email is manhouse@optonline.net
