Do you guys tried to use one of these -> https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806272181851.html or https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805074600507.html
There are a few other related items underneath the listing with different prices and options I think.

I bought the second one and it gave me a parking brake malfunction. It went away after I removed the device, so I will not be messing with these AliExpress versions again.

How did the error manifest itself?I also had an error on the dashboard immediately after installation. I drove off manually, turning off the parking brake, then turned off the car, and when I started it again after parking, the error no longer appeared.Everything works great.

From the looks of it, it should be pretty simple, you got to pop up the gear shift cover and plug the device in between your button and the original cable. I guess the hardest part is to pop up that cover, but let's see what the people who have done it have to say... I almost bought that thing myself but then I realized that my 350h does not have that stpd start/stop lol

I think it’s not difficult for a specialist.I installed it at a service station, they did a range of work: installing an additional security system, a video recorder, connecting adapters for the start/stop memory and brake hold memory.I watched a video on YouTube how Japanese users installed it, the main thing is to remove the panel, then connect the adapter to the button and the standard cable.

I've been talking about doing this for over a year, even before I got my NX in Mar 2023, and finally, its done. If all goes well, this will save me thousands of button presses (my finger is happy) and also the corresponding thousands of start cycles on the battery and starter motor. Well, that was going to happen anyway because I always turn it off except for the times I forget until the first red light. For anyone interested, this was my journey...

First, the device in question. Ordered from AliExpress, there are a fair number of similar (seemingly identical) units from various stores within, I ended up with this one from EV888 store. It has a few different programmable memory modes, but I just used the default mode, always shut off *** after start.

I took apart way more than I needed to as I wasn't sure exactly how all this stuff would come apart, but here's the essential steps with hindsight.
1 Remove the shifter ****, simply unscrew it.
2. Remove the trim piece along the top of the center console around the driving mode dial. Its just 4 clips so super easy does it (the device comes with a little trim pry tool) and out it comes.

This piece has to come out because it clips ojn top of the main trim piece where the console buttons are

Next I popped out the side panel of the center console on drivers side, just enough to move it away for working room

Now the button panel can be ever so most super gently be popped out, it also is just held in with clips.

There is just a single connector for all the buttons, so just release the connector by pressing the holding clip on it.

Plug in the *** device between the two.

Basically done at this point. Good time to give it a test before reassembly, but otherwise just tuck the device/cable down into the console and snap everything extra super most gently back into place. So far I've only been out a few times but so far working great. *** shuts off within 2 seconds of start, and all the other button functions seem to be working normally as well. Yes, dreams can come true

Thanks, Andy. Do you have a link to exactly what you ordered?
Edit - found the link in someone's earlier post.

Interesting, I have it on\ the RS m but it only engages when you push in the clutch and shift to neutral. Probably save me a mile or two per gallon. It doesn't bother me, but apparently it bothers 350 owners so the fix sounds easy and good if that trips your trigger.

YMMV,

Will this piece void your warranty if dealer finds it during service?
