Rear UCA
I have searched and searched. I have to replace the upper ball joint on the rear driver side of my 98 gs400. Now is there anyway to just replace the ball joint or do I have to replace the whole arm, and if so am I right in finding that they cost around 700 dollars?

I'll get you a link... One sec.

Heres a complete rear kit for the price of one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPC-Rear-Cam...56557c&vxp=mtr If you do get these, you might want to confirm that its for both wheels. His auction states half way down that it is for "TWO WHEELS" but later on it say one per wheel. Oh and confirm that it actually IS the ball included since he states "actual camber kit may very" on the pic |

The upper ball joints (if you look at them) are adjustable) I bought these for the upper control arms for up front. ASK HIM, dont assume because they DO make them to replace. I can show you a few other brands too if I need.I'm pretty certain that they're all the the same all the way around.

Alright I have been searching and searching and I can not find anything on these other then I would have to buy brand new arms for 700. Does anyone know if it possible to put new ball joints into the old arms?
|
Ya I've looked into this as well. you can only buy the rear upper ball joints with the arm only. Pretty lame. I'd rather shell out a few more bucks and just get some aftermarket adjustable rears which have swapable ball joints. I think Ikeya Formula arms are around $900/set

what if you replace the whole arm with an aftermarket one?
http://www.gsmotortrends.com/product...rol-arms-p-905 IS300 rear UCA are interchangeable with GS.. just dont know if its designed for it. |
I have heard that the IS300 Arms are hollow while the GS Arms are solid. If that aftermarket arm is sturdier than the stock IS300 arm, then maybe it could be sturdy enough for a GS. Not sure on this, but it would save plenty of money.

Talked to Matt @ Battle Version suspension and he said that RUCA's should be releasing soon.

Whoa I had no clue the IS RUCAs were interchangeable. Can anyone else confirm this?
Those TC Sportline ones look nice! and They use a uni-ball joint too, which would be so ideal with my air ride. |
its 100% interchangeable because there are many IS300 users using 2GS rear UCA due to its light weight design and strength. mainly cuz its a lot lighter.
