Question 2005 GX470 anyone replaced air injection pump or valve??

:Has anyone had problems with VSC off, VSC trac lights in dash coming on? We took our lexus in to dealer today for this problem and whooo hooo repair cost $4600.00 for new air intake pump!
Anyone else have this problem, dealer said they had only had one vehicle come in with this.
We have owned it since new and it has 115,600 mi. Just wondering??

I've never even heard of an air intake pump. I had all the same lights for a catyltic converter replacement

Ah yes the dreaded pump failures. I remember that problem from my Tundra days. There's a LOT of Toyota V8s with that problem and as you know it's VERY expensive to repair.

There's a member on TS.com that sells a kit that deletes the pumps so you no longer get codes.

Yeah it is and it's easy to install. Depending on what code you're getting (closed code) it might be as simple as splicing some wires on your MAF and installing the module.
