I assume you are referring to the "PWR DOOR" button that's behind the little flip door on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. Yes, that should also open the door in addition to the fob. Might want to try this (it seems to have worked for me under similar circumstances on the same vehicle you have): open the trunk manually, then close it manually, then open it manually, then use the "close door" button on the bottom of the door itself to close it (you just have to push it, don't hold it). Then try the "pwr door" button again. Also, remember, all the passenger doors have to be unlocked before the back door will open. Hope this helps, otherwise, might be an issue with the "pwr door" button on your dash. Good luck.

I assume you mean the button above the license plate. Do you mean that the button on the back door doesn't open it automatically (power assisted)? Or that it doesn't open it at all? The button on the back door can be programmed to open the back door automatically (power assisted) or to open the back door and then you do the work of lifting the door open. If it is doing neither of these, then the button in broken. Also, make sure the car is unlocked before hand...I'm sure you're smarter than that, but you never know.

Also...I am from Phoenix, and the heat there tends to make the button on the door melt. It happened to me on my old Prius and it happened on my mom's RX. That could be the case.

everything works, the button on the back door works. Im talking about the button on the back door there are two. the button on the handle, one that opens the door from the outside. I just wanted to know if you push that from the outside if its supossed to open automatic or you just have to manually open it that way... Thanks sorry if im explaining it bad.

It can be programmed either way. The dealership has to do it though. I have mine programmed to open manually from that button as it is too slow when i am standing right there to have it open automatically. But you can ask them to program it to open automatically.

There is a list of features that can be programmed by the dealer. How the remote windows work, how the locks work, how the lights work, how the power doors work etc. They will have a list for you and they charge about 60 bucks to program them. If you have a nice dealer, they might do it for free.

Here is a link to the list of programable features. http://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/RX350_LPS.pdf

Thanks for the info Jake. I see the settings list is for the RX350. Do they all apply to the 2005 RX330 as well? Thanks again.
