Default X Package - What Is It Exactly?

What is the X Package?

What components make it up?

Is it the same as the sport package?

Can one order the components, and thus have the X Package?

Do you have to get an alignment after installation?

Is it better to just go with F Sport Springs/Shocks?

X Package was an option available on 2007-2009 IS Models.
It consists of:
18" wheels
Sport Suspension
GFX front lip
Sport Pedals
Illuminated Door sills
X-Package is not the same as sport package
You cannot order X-Package in conjunction with Luxury or Sport Packages

Eggwoll listed the stuff it came with...

The X package also had only a few colors it could be ordered with...

It had the same suspension and pedals as the sport package but lacked quite a few other features the sport package came with (but added the front lip and unique set of wheels)

Interesting, the x package was also the ONLY way (in the US) to get a 2IS without a sunroof... (there was an x pack with sunroof, and one without)

^Interesting. I didn't know there was a way to get a 2IS without a sunroof. I didn't want one but was told that they all come with sunroofs (at least at my dealer).

Yup... I really wanted no sunroof and the sport package and they said it wasn't possible even though I was special ordering... X pkg was the only one that offered sunroof delete... seemed goofy to me but I wanted the extras in the sport pkg over the X more than I wanted no sunroof.

^ Memory Seats/Tilting Mirrors/Steering Wheel, Telescoping Steering Wheel, Ventilated Seats, auto-dim mirrors, AFS Headlights (off the top of my head). Basically more features. The X Package was designed with a sportier look in mind; the Sport Package looks the same but adds a bunch of pricey options.

Yup... sport package is the sport pedals, sport suspension, sport scuff plates, plus the slew of luxury features listed above ...also included, but not listed- rain sensing wipers, and HIDs (which come with the mentioned AFS).

Or to put it another way- The sport package has all the things in the luxury package except for woodgrain, lit scuffs, and the rear sunshade, but it adds sport pedals, sport suspension, and sport scuffs on top of that.

I think the red wood veneer option on the Luxury package was the deciding factor for me far and above anything else.

So what does the xpac sport suspension consist of? A drop of .25? Bigger sways? F-sport shocks?

None of the above

It's the same sport suspension as on the Sport package-

Firmer shocks
Firmer springs (still linear though, which I'm a fan of- and the F-sports aren't)
0.4 inch drop in the front only, stock height rear

Same sways as stock suspension
