The RL is being discounted up to $4000 in some regions.

What incentives? As far as I know, there are no incentives on the M.

There might be some cross-shopping on the showroom floor. Buyers coming in on the M, not able to afford it, and then having a salesperson show them the G.

Thanks all for the numbers.....
That was the busiest March for me in 8 years! I sold a lot of LS430's, GS300's and 430's, ES330's, RX330's and GX470's. We usually are slow until after tax season. Not this year. Now the next shoe to drop will be the RX400h. I still am getting around to orders on the AWD GS300. The GS430's have dried up and I'm glad to have one stock unit. Don't expect Lexus to carry a GS300, GS350 and V8 and a Hybrid. When the GS350 finally gets to the US it will have an AWD and replace the GS300. The GS450h will be a variant of the 350. The 350 should signal the new V8 replacement GS460. I don't think any of the M45 owners will be happy when that day arrives. The party is almost over for the G35 and the 3 Series. They will be faced with a very sporty and elegant Lexus IS250/350 with AWD on the 250 and a manual come October. TRD will make plenty of mods for those enthusiasts that gotta make 'em custom. The IS Hybrid will come after all of the above and a I series coupe version that will drop its top. The next two years are going to be a Lexus fest!

I'm speculating and have only limited info on the ICoupe
I wish I could tell you for sure. When I know, You'll know and I miss the Sexy ladies. Your Amethyst photo is the best coupe I've ever seen. It is so rare I can't tell you....

ES sales down 20%
LS sales down 19%
SC sales down 18%
IS sales down 58%
LX sales down 17%
RX sales down 3%
GX sales up 1%
GS sales, of course, had a huge gain. Do you think that the GS is cannibalizing sales of some other Lexus vehicle to an extent?

Good question JRock...
Last year Lexus set the record for volume units so I see that nationally we are about 2,000 units behind last year's pace. We are expected to top 300,000 units this year. The GS will add at least 25,000 more than last year. The LS430's are very hot right now. The new RX400h is almost sold out for the calendar year and no one has test driven it yet. We are starved locally for GS300AWD's with Nav/Lev. We need GS430's badly. The RX330 is slowing down some but still strong. The ES330 is in the end its of cycle but doing well. Our showroom was very busy last Saturday and it was raining enough for flood warnings. That is unusual. Just like every dealer competes for allocation, every region competes for their share of cars. The Eastern region is pretty strong and AWD's and FWD's are in demand. When people start to realize that they can drive a GS430 with VDIM in the snow then we are going to see that car and its successors really take off in sales. The SC430 refresh will have the 6 speed transmission in the fall. The new IS250/350 will arrive in October. About this time next year I will be sitting in my new office in our new $18,000,000 building that will make us the Longo type facility of the DC area. It will have 700 parking spaces. It will have a Concierge in the waiting area to cater to the guests. Massage anyone while you are waiting for your 30K? I'm sorry but it is over the top.....
