what is the right size battery to fit in the key? that way i can try it ...i dont think ive ever tried it with a new battery. it would be nice to have it work though, since my viper system remote just crapped out on me

What kinda screwdrive do you use? im looking at mine now and it looks like a hex shape fitting? I want to see if that solder is cracked in mine.

LOL - no I didn't try the radio thing. I had SEARCHED this 3+ years
ago & had given up till now. Try it tomorrow.

mine works with pretty good range sometimes, i'd check the antenna but i super glued it shut... sob

+1 for not working.. when i baught mine 2 months ago it worked but i had to be really close to the vehicle, now it doesnt work at all. i changed the battery but to no avail. wonder what happend?

Mine is not working at all even with a new battery...but I haven't tried the radio thing..didn't know about that..what kind of reaction are you supposed to get with the radio..?

Yep, played a tone on the 2nd try. 1st time the volume was down.

Checked the antenna & looks good.

So the radio test conferms that the transmitter is working-correct?
Yes the alarm switch is "on". Ya never know w/ me. - LOL

yep, your transmitter is fine. (which is more than I can say for me at this point, i can't get a tone.)

now,... here's the "quick directions"

remove the rear seat, right quarter insert (behind passenger side)

you'll see the box for the keyless, pull the grey antenna wire out. stick the end of the key in the hole but do not let it touch the inside of the antenna barrel. Press the key button.

Doors lock? (remember they have to be closed)

Mine stopped working all of a sudden a couple of months ago. The radio test passed. I hear a click when I press the button when the radio is set to 94.9.
