its like a hitting sound like a clunk. it sounds to me like something maybe a u-joint is loose. it doesnt make the sound if i very easily press the gas pedal to accelerate.

Is it a loud noise or something that you'll have to turn down the music to hear.
also is it noise or is it a thump that you "feel" when you press the accelerator ? is it comeing from the rear ?

you can feel it when it happens even with the music up. its as if something was loose in the drivetrain somewhere. im just trying to see if its common and what it is

it could be:

- the flex disc between the driveshaft and the transmission
- the flex disc between the driveshaft and the rear diff
- transmission mounts

inspect these rubber parts

Nah the transmission mount is easy, it's the motor mounts that are a pita.

sitting still and u think it might be a u-joint? lmfao....problems like this are impossible to diagnose on forums, it could be something like a loose muffler or u could have ran a cat over and it squirming around under there trying to get free! take it to a shop and let someone put it on a rack and/or test drive it
