Default How much to repaint F/R bumpers & qtr panels?

Well the rock chips on my front bumper and scratches on my driverside rear quarter panel and rear bumper are driving me nuts and Id love to have them painted. If i took it to a decent body shop could they accurately match the tungsten pearl paint? Also what you think and fair price would be to get all 3 parts painted?

I'm thinking it will happen over and over so it's not worth it. Maybe get some touch up paint? Post some pics

Dont do it man.... Its a pain in the *** the color match your color unless you blend the panels etc.... but the extra layer of clear coat will still make it off..

It might be fine for most people, but i've been going nuts over my car because the color is 1 tiny shade off that can only be seen in the dark shade.

Decent body shop = no
Reputable, high-quality body shop = yes

Not sure how much it would cost, but you can always get some price quotes. General rule of thumb: you get what you pay for.

I remember my body shop telling me it would certainly be over $1,000, which was enough for me to reconsider. Maybe file an insurance claim if you have some really bad chips?

It would probably be around $1600-$1800 for a good job with blending.

Haha my insurance is already over 300/month without any tickets or claims so I dont even wanna think about what it would cost if I had a claim, pretty funny how Im scared to use something I pay so much for... insurance is such a scam.

I was hoping it would be like 500 bucks but if its gonna be well over a thousand forget it, the scratches bother me but not that much haha. The front bumper and hood are stone chipped quite a bit and the rear bumper and quarter panel have 4 scratches about the size of a quarter. I put the touch up paint on but i find it looks worse than it before the touch of paint.

Expect to pay $300-$500 a pannel, plus shop and disposal fees, etc. If someone quoted you under $1K for all 3, I would feel a bit leary about using them. With the amount of blending that has to be done, it might be better to just paint the whole car! I say use touch up for a while longer and hold out until you get a real problem that needsd re-painting.

comprehensive claims dont go against your insurance premium. I recently had my front bumper hood and quarter panels repainted because of sever rock chips from a dump truck. cost 1600, but I only had to pay the 100 $ deductible because it was considered comprehensive.

It all depends on how you word your claim. For instance, the sand/rocks came DIRECTLY off of the truck and hit my car is Comprehensive. The sand/rocks fell out of the truck, hit the ground and I ran into them is COLLISION.

know the difference, and dont lie either.

i think its gonna cost you at least 1.5k without blending with factory paint.
personally wouldnt paint those parts without blending..at least quater panel. it may show color diff.
but how did you get rock chips on the Driverside QP?
