2011 specification switched to 0W20 on the IS250 as well.

We're talking tenths of an MPG, your driving behavior is a much greater determining factor.

If your dealer is by the books, 5w20.

It's on the oil cap because that's what was originally recommended for the engine - the TSIB changed that recommendation to 5w20.

i havent done my oil change to my 08 is250 yet since i just got it about 2 weeks ago but when i go to change it ima go with 10w30... thats what i use to use on my acura rsx type s and my car ran smooth and strong and stood more cool since i ran with the 10w30 vs the 5w30... but as for royal purple i fell in love with it once i put it in my engine... when you first put it and run it hard its squeels like a supercharger idk y but it was cool, after about to strong punches it went away though... overall i loved it, plus my favortie color is a plum purple. 00o yea one more thing are you suppose to change out oil every 5,000 or 10,000 in our cars?

I have yet to try valvoline. I have used mobil1, pennzoil ultra, and castrol edge. Personally, I like the castrol edge better. Engine started up feels smoother as well as daily driving. I also use 5W30, like quick123 said its on the oil cap.

Royal Purple street 5w30 in my 2010 IS350.

I'm very happy with the switch from mobile 1 5w30. It increased my average mpg by 3.

I have been running Mobile Synthetic 0w20 for over a year now, with no problems at all. The car feels smoother, the acceleration is faster, and my MPG is higher than before.
