insure its something you can change, pop up the gear shift panel (wood) and pull out the heated seat and headlight washer panel (Wood) and check to see if you see a bulb or led or wah not

On my '06 RX330, this is listed as a part...

Seat heater switch bulb with cap...p/n #90011-01046...discount about $3.60; full price $4 - $6. Should be available through both Toyota and Lexus dealers.

I noticed that I have the same problem and am curious about how difficult it will be to replace. Expensive for a 1.12 watt bulb!

Here are pics I took. You will need to remove the panel, as the switch is held in top and bottom by two taps. I used a small flat screwdriver to release them. The light is on top. You could use the Radio Shack # 7219 replacement bulb on it for a cheap fix but it will glow yellow instead of green. The stock bulb is larger, also, but I have use the RS bulb in the past in these applications and it works fine.

Isn't that green "condom" removable? It was on my GS and I have never looked at the bulbs on my RX so couldnt you just take the green condom off and put it on the new bulb so it will light up green?

nwfsnake:

How did you get the panel off? Just curious.

hoonami:
Let us know what you had to pay for the bulb, w/ shipping. Curious about that too!

I cheated, this is a panel I purchased from ebay. I am going to install seat heaters, and wanted the factory switch. It has two press in clips, one on each end. One of those nylon pry tools should do the trick.

Default Panel

It is very easy to remove the switch panels.

Push your center console all the way back.

On the aft bottom edge of the gear shifter lift up.

Remove trim from around gear shifter.

On the bottom edge of the cigarette light panel pull aft.

Disconnect the wiring.

i bought a bulb and wiper refill set from sewell. bulb was $4 but if you are only ordering a bulb you might as well visit your local dealer. minimum shipping isn't worth it. or you can visit your toyota dealership with a bulb if you have it taken apart.

I wonder how much the bulb is from just a Toyota dealer? Half the price of the Lexus dealer? Honda/Acura uses these same bulbs and sockets, maybe I will check their price and post it.

ac921ol: I don't know about anyone else, but I couldn't view the picture/diagram you added. Could you post it again as a PDF or something? Thanks.
