2003 ES300.
350-375 mi/tank
avg 21-24 mpg, mix highway/city driving.
I'm a spirited driver too.

2004 ES
about the same, just took my winter tires off and I get about 2-3 more mpg with summer tires and rims, also weather is warming up. I can get 28-29 on the highway if i use the cruise.

I have horrible gas mileage on my 2002 Lexus ES 300 as well. I get around 265-290 miles on a full tank (and I overfill it too).

According to the computer I get around 17 mpg on the city and 19-20mpg on the highway. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it! I know the air filter is dirty so I'll be going to autozone to change that.

clean/replace mass airflow sensor, change air filter, proper inflated tires, possible 02 sensor going bad or air fuel ratio sensor going bad.

Replaced spark plugs with platinum ones last January 2011.

Also does the car computer say that your getting 24 mixed and 28 on the highway? What year ES do you have?

Thanks for the advice. Does autozone replace the MAF if I buy one from them? Also who cn I take it to to get it cleaned? Because I don't know anything about this stuff.

Thanks.

I have an ES330, 2006. I used to have an 02 ES and mileage was a tad better on that car.

230 miles signals either something is wrong, dirty or malfunctioning... sensors integral to the engines performance and MPG or a severe lead foot or bad gas.

Just as a side note...
My 2002 es 300 does not like taking 89 winter blend here in Cincinnati. It goes all to **** so in winter I go up to 91-93 till the winter blend is gone.

also, the 2002-2003 es300 is only a 3.0 liter V6 while the 2004-2006 ES330 is a 3.3 V6 so yes MPG may be better on the 02-03 ES
