Default Blower motor control relay

My dealer tells me I need to replace the blower motor control relay on my 96 LS400 at a cost of over $600! I can get the part for less than $20 and feel confident in doing it myself but am looking for step-by-step instructions that I've so far been unable to find after an extensive internet search. Does anyone know where I can find these instructions?

Is this what you were looking for? http://www.ls400.ru/lexus-89-2000/il.../bmcr/remo.pdf
It was the best I could find, unless you have the service manual. Don't give the dealership 600 bucks.

My dealer tells me I need to replace the blower motor control relay on my 96 LS400 at a cost of over $600!
how is he justifying that amount? - that would be like he is charging you $50 for the relay + 5.5 hours labor???

it is 1 hour of labor if you like to stand around and smoke a lot of cigarettes while pretending to work! - and much less if you actually work and don't screw off!

The dealer now says they made an error diagnosing the problem by identifying it as a "blower motor control relay" and telling me "that the item is really "blower controller resistor relay block" costing $312 plus 2.2 hours labor @ $115/hr. A mechanic at that dealership told me that resistor and relay are really the same thing so I'm more confused that the part is identified as a ".......resistor relay......". I'm trying to prepare the car for sale and offering it "as is" and informing the new buyer of the problem plus reducing the price to cover the repair cost of the A/C system. I appreciate the responses to assist but feel it's time to put this problem to rest and get on with my life.
