Oil Filter wrench
Been searching EVERYWHERE for the answer, but I can't find a straight answer.
Locally I can only find a 65mm 14 flute oil filter wrench, but I've seen the sizes vary from 63mm-65mm, some with different models (IS350, AWD, RWD). So can anyone tell me which one I can/should use for an 2007 IS250 RWD. Please don't send links to other threads... I've looked all the ones I can find on google/search engine.

I know this is horrible, but I have just been taking a giant crescent wretch to the oil filter housing.
The oil filter housing cost about $55 on sewell. That's the price of about 3 oil filter wrenches, and from my experiences, people have been constantly breaking their filter wrenches. I know eventually i'll strip my oil filter housing, but im at 75k miles already and everything is still good. So i figured if I ever have to replace my housing, it'll cost me a total of $55 for at least 200k miles, which is cheaper than what most members seem to be spending on their wrenches in the same 200k miles period.

I'm in BC too and I got it for $17 USD shipped. But it looks like he raised the price to $21 USD shipped.

At the shop I work at they provide us with the wrenches for toyotas/ lexus. Some of the Techs have their own but I always change mine at work so I have never bought one. We get special deals when the Matco/ SnapOn guys come by. Maybe look into something from them. Although you do have to buy the whole Toyota kit.

Just like edgeucated
I've never had luck being able to find the proper wrench, I just put a towel over the housing and use a
big pipe wrench,I don't have any bite marks or anything on it. The tech at my local dealer said when it's torqued to spec a pipe wrench will take it off fine and just to watch for excessive bite
Marks on the metal, hence the use of a towel. but of course he "recommended an oil change by a certified technician" but like that's ever gonna happen hah
