I'll try and make this brief, but I'd like to swap out the standard grille on my 2012 for the Sport Grille that I think I was last available in 2011. I've been told by my local dealership parts department (Johnson Lexus of Raleigh) that the clips are the same and they should be interchangeable. The parts department at Sewell said they are not interchangeable and that the grille fits the sport bumper and not the standard bumper.

What is the real answer? I'd like to know before I order the part from Sewell. PS- my local dealer said they'd happily install the new grille for 200 dollars. Is this something I could do myself?

$200 for labor? Talking about rip off, I think it's only take about 1/2 hour the most.
I would buy the grill and then take it to an independen body shop much cheaper ..
