Default Turbo or superchargers for the 2014 IS 350

So I am completely new to Lexus (just switched over from subaru). Just got the 2014 is 350 f sport, and I am in some desperate need of some more power/torque. From what I have researched, there are not a lot of options out there yet (understandably). So my question is, what is typical for this line of Lexus. In the past has there been quick aftermarket interest in turbo or supercharger production? Are there any logistical limitations to such an addition to this car that would prevent these products from coming to market? Has anyone announced any products that push the car closer to 350-400 hp? Thanks for any info and excuse my ignorance. I imagine it shouldn't be too much of a transition considering the japanese heritage of both of these companies, but I haven't had any time to get under the hood and check out what kind of possibilities await. Cheers!

the compression ratio is high in these cars about 12:1, you cannot boost that high if you did an install. Honestly the best thing you can do is get an ISF. Same thing when someone wants to FI a IS250, trade in for a 350

As 4TehNguyen mentioned, the compression is too high to really add much more HP without cracking a piston. There is some kit out there that knocks it up by 50HP or so....but I don't really think it's worth the price of the system. Get a ISF if you want more power.

Also, I don't know how that Arma supercharger got almost 100 extra HP....

yeah with as high a compression ratio as the 350 has youll probably hit a max of about 5-8 psi. but one thing ill say is a boosted 350 tends to make more power than a boosted 250. so in that sitaution i dont readily say "just get an isf"

its not gonna be a cheap endeavor though either. but i would think going the supercharger route on these cars will be cheaper than turbo. even though i prefer turbo over supercharger in most cases

Oh boy. It was only a matter of time until these threads starting creeping up in the 3IS section.

You want more power? Be smart and sell your car and get another mod friendly vehicle

Yep, part of the reason I went with the Lexus is you are limited on engine mods. Exhaust, intake is about it.

Yeah that would be the smart thing to do.... sell my car right after it takes its worst hit of depreciation. I love my car. It looks great, has awesome seats (which makes a huge difference for someone with a herniated disc), drives smoothly, the f sport suspension and steering is right on point, and the interior/infotainment system are best in class if you ask me. The car was the best value I could find for the things I was looking for. But occasionally I like to race. It wouldn't hurt to have more power, and I am just wondering what (if anything) is available to boost hp. Thanks for the input, though.... very helpful.

Hey if you want more power you can always go with a nitrous oxide kit and run a safe 100 shot and still be reliable

Need tons of power? Dont buy an IS. Should have bought a different car.

Corvette, Camaro SS, GTR, Tesla Performance, etc

Don't need tons of power, dont need a gt-r. What I am looking for is an extra 50 or so hp. Thanks for the 100 shot nitros tip gstony. What kind of power does that add and how long does it last?

Wow... There are some very constructive suggestions here.
I am looking for more power too just like OP.
I am sure OP would love to have a LFA and so do I.
Now how much do you guys want to sponsor him?
