Default DO NOT BUY FROM AutoAnything - Greddy Intake Story

DO NOT ORDER FROM AUTO ANYTHING

I placed an order on May 30th for my Greddy Intake and its been one BS excuse after another. First shipping delay was June 16th. Then, they tell me June 24th. Now, Its June 27th. I know from trying to order this from another vendor that AFE is on a national backorder for this product; yet Im starting to get pissed off when I call in for shipping / tracking info. Its always a delay. I paid $199 shipped. At this point, I'll be requesting a refund if it doesnt ship by Friday. So, long and short, who has a Greddy Intake that is IN-STOCK that I can buy. My Joe-Z AxleBack is going to ship soon too. I just want to get an intake on my baby prior to. If not, I may have to go the Joe-Z route but do like the sound of the Greddy. Any assistance is appreciate

Hope you paid with a credit card. If so contact them and let them solve the dispute.

If it's on national backorder, what made you think this particular supplier could magically fulfill the order?

You all missed the point. The shipping date keeps getting pushed back. Not once, not twice, not three times, but 4 times total. When it was advertised as being shipped next day. Matter of fact....less than an hour later they moved th damn date again. Order is canceled.

Just buy one of the used ones in the classifieds.

When i ordered my Greddy intake earlier this year there was delay then as well.
I waited about 2-3 weeks before I received it. Obviously from different reseller though.

You are too nice, I would have canceled that order as soon as they missed the first shipping deadline. Don't let companies string you along with changing back order statuses.

I've ordered plenty of stuff from AutoAnything and always had good experience. I don't think it's fair for you to tell people not to shop there because they don't have the part. Stuff like this happens all the time. Instead of seeing the date being changed around everyday. You could've easily went on their site and chat with them live to see what's going on. I'm just saying.

I would agree, that at large, people in this country are sometimes way, way too impatient (like if the product isn't in shipped within 4 hours, they start calling). You have Ebay and Amazon to thank for that.

However, from a business owner that ships car parts (non-lexus parts ) a simple phone call or email to every customer regarding a back order usually goes a long, long way. Sure, they aren't happy but 99% will wait without canceling their order.

This happened when I was looking to buy the GReddy intake earlier in the year too. It isn't really the fault of the retailers though, because they are getting their stock information from GReddy. Almost all the online retailers ship the GReddy intake directly from the manufacturer, and don't keep any stock themselves. So their shipping estimate is only as accurate as what GReddy tells them.

I actually contacted GReddy directly, and they would give the same re-stock estimate dates as the online retailers. But then when I called back around the estimated time they told me, GReddy would tell me it was delayed and give me a new date. They did eventually have stock after a few weeks turned into a few months, but even then, they supposedly only had 2 and then ran out again.

So either try contacting GReddy directly, or maybe you can find a retailer that has the Takeda intake in stock, since it's the same.

I've also had good experiences with them. Seems like a supplier/communication issue, I would have cancelled earlier.

I've had good experiences with them. This seems like the fault of the supplier as opposed to the retailer.

JB5674 I was looking for a Greddy intake as well, most sites will say in stock but if you actually call them they would state they didn't physically have them and they were on backorder. Call 305-851-2409 WBPerformance. J called before to ensure they had them in stock which they did, so I placed my order online and received it in about 5 days max! Good Luck!
